Fort Wayne Arenacross - 1st Place - Updated January 21, 2008
This weekend I raced Arenacross in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It had been almost 3 months since I rode my quad and I was anxious to race! We went up the night before and stayed at the Marriott. We were able to swim the night before, allowing me to relax and keep my mind off the race. Our friends the Wagners and the Vores stayed at the Marriott also . We had fun swimming and hanging out all night. They are both great families and I love them all. Sunday morning we headed over to the track early, where we had learned there were 13 other mini quads riders set to compete. I was a bit nervous about how I was gonna do because not only had I not ridden my quad in almost 3 months, but there were a lot of great mini quad riders there.
As I took off at practice, I rode aggressively. I think it was because I was so excited to be back on the track again. It didn't seem possible, but the time after practice until my first heat race did not seem long. It was time to roll.
During my qualifying heat, I knew to remain focused but also to be relaxed, all the while my throttle hand was twitching and ready to spring into action. As the air was released from pressure release starting gate, I could heard the sputter of air-escaping the valve the same moment the gate fell. I lashed out and grabbed the throttle like I was trying to break it off. I stood hard on the pipe and did not let off. I was totally pinned for what seemed like a never ending straightaway. I was flying! I snagged the holeshot and I stabbbed it into the first turn. Now it was time to go to work. Immediately I noticed The track had not broken down much from practice and the earlier heats.
The whoops and corners were holding the same grooves they had during practice.
more of the story below....

I keyed on that and trusted my instincts. I was in the lead and on a mission. I keep my head into it and asked my body to "hang in there it will be over soon!". The laps continued to pass and I was remaining unchallenged. I could feel myself getting getting' worn down but I wanted to win. As it turned out I stayed in the lead the entire heat and won, giving me a chance for a good gate pick in the main event.
As the main event approached, I was beginning to become very nervous. I knew that there were a lot of good riders in my class and I wasn't sure how well I would do. As my dad pushed me down to the gate I noticed my knees shaking. It was such a rush!
I was staged in the front row. It seemed like time was crawling in slow motion. I thought the sooner this thing gets started the better. Finally the started pointed at us all and asked us to wind 'em up. I didn't have time to think much, the gate was ready to drop and when it did I trusted my routine of staying focused and again gave it my all. I pulled an awesome holeshot! As I rounded the first corner I could feel the pressure of the quads behind me. I knew that if I made one small mistake that any of them could have passed me. As the race went on I was really feeling the heat from Devin Jabo. He was right on my tail!
A few machines got bottled up in the first turn but behind me. As I finished my first lap and began my second I was facing down the whoops and noticed and a quad in front of me.

Gang at Ft. Wayne, Indiana Arenacoss
It was one of the machines that was caught up in the malay during the start. This could be trouble for me I thought. I need to get around this lapper to keep my lead from diminishing. It's always tough getting' around anyone at an Arenacross, that's why the start is so important. I managed to slip around him just after the halfway point, giving me a view ahead of nothing but clear track. I kept focused and rode hard to grab the checkered flag and a 1st place win. I was so excited to have won this race. There were awesome riders that I assumed were much quicker than myself. I was able to hang aboard my jet-rocket and keep my lead to the finish. I am very proud of myself. Not only did I win the District 15 Championship this year, I also won the Reads Championship and Ft. Wayne Arenacross. I just feel blessed to my healthy and have so many wonderful friends who support me. Even parents of the other riders. They see that I want to take this to the next level and use my strengths as a competitor to gain experience racing mini-quad, that could lead to many other types of Motorsports whatever they may be. Who knows maybe someday I'll be the next Danika Patrick.
I had a lot of fun this weekend. Hanging out with my friends in the pit area was the best. It made me realize just how much I missed being at the track. A special congratulations to my little Brother Adam for racing his first indoor race. He got 5th place. Good job Adam! I can't wait for racing season to start!

Happy Holidays - Updated January 21, 2008

Happy New Year
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I had a great Christmas. I am really starting to miss racing though. It has been 2 whole months since I last raced.
I am racing Arenacross in Ft. Wayne on January 20, 2008.

I hope everyone will consider coming! I really miss my racing buddies and it would be nice to see all of you! Anyone who raced it last year can admit it was just as much fun hanging out on the sidelines as it was being on the track.

I look forward to a lot of fun both on and off the track. Hope to see you all there! Have a safe and fun New Years.
See you all next year!

Happy Holidays - Updated December 2, 2007
Hello and Happy Holidays! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Christmas is coming upon us and I am very excited! I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I am sure all of you will have a great Christmas, but there are a lot of families out there who are less fortunate. While all of us enjoy our hobby of racing, there are families out there who can't even afford to buy food and clothing. Christmas can be a very depressing time for these families. I would like to take this time to reach out to all of you and ask you to make a difference for someone this Christmas. It doesn't matter how big or small of a difference it is, people will always be grateful.

Here are some things you can do to make a difference:
Smile and say "Hi" to a complete stranger. People feel important when you do something as simple as saying "Hi!"
Do random acts of kindness. Holding open a door, helping someone load groceries into the trunk of their car, buy lunch for that little old man sitting by himself.
Random acts of kindness are not so common anymore. By doing little things, not only does it make you feel good, the person you are helping will feel good too.

Donate to your local food pantry. The food pantry provides so much to those in need. They depend on donations to keep it going.
Choose a name off an angel tree and buy them something special. Buy what is requested and throw in something a little extra!
Donate to "Toys for Tots." It's sad to know that there are children out there who don't get one single gift for Christmas!
Do you know a family in need? Take them dinner, buy them hats and gloves, offer blankets. Do something to show them you care.

There are many other ways to help. Contact your local Church or Trustees office to find out what you can do. Try making a difference in someone's life. It's the best feeling in the world!

I wish everyone a safe, wonderful Christmas! Live, laugh, love!
Final Reads Racing Events in the 2007 Summer Series - Updated October 30, 2007
The last weekend at Hangtime was a blast! There were decorated pit areas, pumpkins, carmel apples, costumes, a great haunted trail and (or course) trick-or-treating! It was a cool, muddy night; but it didn't matter. I was having too much fun! I finished the Sunday night race in 4th place, but that didn't bother me. What bothered me was leaving the track and knowing that the season was over. On the way home, I kept thinking about how nice it would be to race the Sunday race too. But, since we didn't come prepared for a 2nd day of racing, we went home.
Sunday I woke up and wanted to race just one more time, so I woke my mom up and asked her if we could race. She took me over to Dirt MX in Kingsbury. We lived too far away from Hangtime to make it there on time, so she said we could go to Dirt instead. It was a beautiful day and they had a great turnout. There were 7 in my class. I took 1st place.
I want to take a moment to recognize some people: Bobby Elkins, thank you for being my friend and my biggest fan! Also, for giving so much of your time to create and maintain my awesome website! You are the best - I mean it! A special thanks to the Evans Family for the awesome gift they gave me for winning the 2007 Reads Racing Mini Quad Championship! Thank you so much - it was very kind of you!! Hetrick Racing - thank you for my sponsorship and for your great customer support. You always managed to get parts to us on time (even when they were hard to get!) Thank you to my other sponsors too: Berik Boots, RK Chains, Spectro Oils, Dreyer Motorsports and my newest sponsor, Scott USA. Congratulations to my brother Adam for taking 2nd place in the 2007 Reads Racing 50cc 4-8 class! He also finished 3rd in the AMA/District 15 State Championship. Not bad for his first year of racing! Great job little brother! Last, but not least, a thank you to my Mom and Dad. Your encouragement, dedication, support and coaching had made my year great. I Love You Both!
The 2007 racing season is over. It seems like just yesterday when I was fighting the cold of a brisk March weekend just to be able to ride the first few races of the season. The 2007 season brought me back together with my friends from last year and introduced me to many new friends too. I must say, I had a great season - but the best part of being at the track is spending time with my friends. Yes, racing is fun (I couldn't live without it) but without racing, I would have never met the wonderful friends I have now.
To all of my friends at the track - Thank you so much for being my friends! I couldn't imagine coming to the track and not having you guys to hang out with. You make racing all the more fun! I will miss you all and can't wait to see you next racing season. Please keep in touch! You can contact me by hitting the "Contact Haley" tab at the top of my webpage! I will be happy to e-mail you back! Please write me - I would love to hear from you!
I won't be updating my blog weekly, but I will update it from time to time. Thank you for visiting my website and keeping updated on my racing season. I'll write again soon - Keep watching!

Final 2007 Fulton County MX Event - Updated October 22, 2007
This weekends race was at Fulton County MX. That is my favorite track. My weekend was full of ups and downs, but I had a great time!
1st moto Saturday morning I took the holeshot. Although I hadn't raced the Fulton Co. track in awhile, I was feeling comfortable and rode great! I took 1st in the first moto. As I was starting my quad to go down for the 2nd moto, it started making a strange noise. My dad said it was an air leak, but he didn't have time to track it down and fix it befor the race. He told me to just go out and ride my best. Even though I didn't have quite as much power, I still finished in 2nd and took a 2nd overall.
Between the morning and afternoon race, my Dad fixed my quad and I was ready to go! In the 1st moto of the night race, I pulled a great holeshot and never looked back. The track was flowing nicely and I felt great! I ended up taking 1st! My mom said I raced flawlessly! (Thanks mom!) 2nd moto I took the holeshot again but was soon passed. I was working hard to stay on Erik's tail when he had mechanical issues and didn't get to finish the race. That left me in 1st. I was riding great when all of a sudden my chain popped off! By the time they got my chain back on, everyone in my class had passed me. When the race was over, I ended up in 3rd place. I still got 1st overall though.
Sunday morning there were just 2 of us. I took the holeshot both motos but was passed each time. I ended up in 2nd. I wasn't disappointed though, because I thought I rode great!
Next weekend is the last weekend of the Reads Racing Summer Series and season. It will be at Hangtime in Akron, Indiana. It's going to be a fun, Halloween themed, time! There will be all kinds of Halloween activities going on - I can't wait! I will be sad when the racing season is over though!
My friend and mini quad pal Jasmine Carunchia has started racing a CR85! Wow, that would scare me! Jasmine, you are doing a great job! Keep up the good work!

I also want to tell my little buddy Kade what a fantastic job he is doing this year! He was rocking this weekend and is just dying for some better competition! Hopefully he will have it next weekend! Kade, you are the best rider I know. You are awesome and fearless! I wish I had your "no fear" attitude and you jumping skills! You rock, little buddy!
I would like to take a moment to recognize my newest sponsor "Scott USA." I use their goggles all the time, so I was very excited when they offered me a sponsorship! Thank You Scott USA! I am excited to have you as a sponsor!!! I would also like to thank the rest of my sponsors for the support they gave me during the 2007 race season: Hetrick Racing, Spectro Oils, Berik Boots, RK Chains and Dreyer Motorsports! A special thank you to my good friend Bobby Elkins for doing such a fantastic job on my website! Bobby, you're the best!

Back to Hangtime, only one Hangtime remaining - Updated October 16, 2007
This weekend I raced the evening race at Hangtime MX Park in Akron, Indiana. It was a nice night where we celebrated my brother Adam's 6th Birthday! Happy Birthday Adam!
I finished the evening race in 4th place. I pulled nice holeshots but wasn't able to tackle some of the far apart doubles like my opponents did. Hopefully I will pick things back up next weekend at Fulton County MX.
The season is winding down with only 2 weekends of racing left. After the Fulton Co. race, the following weekend will be at Hangtime where they will be hosting an awesome Halloween weekend. Costumes, decorated pit areas, trick-or-treating, carmel apples, witches stew and a haunted trail. I mostly look forward to seeing what crazy costume Larry Klinger will be wearing this year! It's going to be hard to out-do his costume from last year - which consisted of a hula skirt and a pair of coconuts! Bring your costumes and help us celebrate the end of the season with some scary fun!

Last Trojan Raceway event on the 2007 Calendar - Updated October 7, 2007
Saturday morning my mom brought my brother and I over to Trojan Raceway in North Webster for a day of racing. Just after practice my mom was injured riding my pitbike. She had to be taken to the Hospital. I was pretty upset, so it threw off my whole day. She was able to come back to the track to finish watching me race, but my heart just wasn't into it. I tried, but just couldn't get into a groove. I finished 3rd in both the morning and afternoon race.
My friend Nathan Babcock, Bobby Elkins and Keith Cromwell came to Trojan to race the Pitbike class, so I raced with them. There were about 20 pitbikes on the line! Athough I am not the best rider on my pitbike, I still had fun. My friend Jessica (who normally rides in the mini quad class with me) was out there on her pitbike too. We had a great race going both motos. Thanks for the great race Jessica! Also, great job to Nathan, Bobby and Keith.
I would like to tell my brother Adam that he did a fantastic job riding this weekend. He was racing against his buddy Tyler and boy was he riding fast. Tyler won, but I was just amazed about how well Adam had raced. Great job Adam! I am very proud of you.
The next race is at Hangtime MX in Akron, Indiana. I am not sure if I will be racing or not. We'll see.
Keep checking back for some new video Bobby of me on Saturday. It got dark quickly, but there is sure to be some good footage to check out.

Final Beat the Sundown Series Event - Updated October 1, 2007
This weekend I raced the final 2 races of the "Beat The Sundown" series at D&D motorsports in Rochester, IN. It was a really good weekend for me. There was a totally new track design which made it really fun! Even though the track had changed, I felt really comfortable on it. My machine ran good and I felt good. I took first both races and wrapped up the "Beat The Sundown" series in 1st. My good friend Grant also raced this weekend and finished the series in 2nd! Great job Grant!

My pal Bobby Elkins came up to race too. He was the race just before me, so I sat at the holeshot and cheered him on! Awesome holeshot Bobby! I am glad you made it out!
I am sad that I won't get to race D&D anymore this year, but being there for the last race was great! Next weekend I will be at Trojan Raceway. They are working on having a big pitbike turnout - so bring yours along!

Racing at Fulton County MX - Posted September 24, 2007
This weekend I raced all 4 races at Fulton County MX. That is my favorite track, so I didn't want to miss one race! Friday night it was just me and Blake in my class and Kade in the Jr. class. Even though Kade and I are in different classes, we had fun battling each other out on the track. We both took 1st. Saturday morning my "Peep" Jasmine joined me, Blake and Kade on the track. It was another fun race, and boy did Kade give me a run! He finished in front of me! Again, we both finished 1st in our class.
Saturday night we had 8 mini quads on the gate. Being able to race the track 2 times before this race, I felt prepared to take on the additional competition. First moto, I took the holeshot. From then on I had constant heat on my tail. Although I was in front, I wasn't gaining any extra ground. Erik and Kade were right behind me. I knew that if I didn't start doubling, that I was going to lose my 1st place position quickly! So, doubling it was! I was doing a double earlier, but I knew I had to do more of them if I was going to win. I couldn't believe I was doing it! I have always been afraid of doubles, but this weekend, they seem to come easy.
The doubling was helping tremendously; but I knew if I made one single mistake that I would lose my position. My riding ability paid off! I took 1st in the first moto.

Second moto I took the holeshot again, this time Kade worked his way past Erik and was the one on my tail. Even though it put a bit of distance between Erik and me, I was up for the challenge of holding Kade off. Kade is an amazing rider. 9 times out of 10 he finishes ahead of me. I knew that if I finished in front of him, that I was definitely riding great. I pushed hard and not only took 1st, but finished just ahead of my buddy Kade. It was one close race. He definitely didn't make it easy on me!
Kade, you are the best mini quad rider I know! Thank you for pushing me to ride my best this weekend! I had great fun riding with you! You are an awesome friend too! Please don't forget me when you become a famous Pro ATV Rider someday! Sunday morning my buddy Dakota showed up to race with me. We were the only two in the Mini Quad class. I hadn't seen Dakota in awhile, so I was excited that he showed up. The morning races went by fast. I took 1st both motos. Dakota promised that he would try to make a few more races before the end of the season, so I hope to race with him again!
Doubling this weekend helped me out a lot. I hope that I can take what I learned this weekend, and use it at the other tracks. I will try my best!
Next weekend is the last set of races for the "Beat The Sundown" series at D&D Motorsports. It is also the last race, at that track, for the season. I look forward to being there! Boy, I sure will be sad when racing season ends!

Women's Championship Weekend - Updated September 16, 2007
This weekend at the track was a fun one. The races were at Trojan Raceway in North Webster, Indiana. The owners made some track changes that were pretty cool and the track was in fantastic condition. Friday night wasn't one of my best nights, my buddy Blake Sarver gave me a run second moto and past me on a double. As I was battling to get him back, I popped my chain. It left me with a 4th overall. Great job Blake - you gave me a great run!
Saturday morning was the Women's Championship. We had a great group of girls in our mini quad class. First moto I took the holeshot, but my "Peep" Lindsey Sandel was hot on my tail. It was only a matter of minutes before she passed me up. I finished the first moto in 2nd place. 2nd moto started out the same, I took the holeshot and within a few minutes, Lindsey passed me up. I rode hard and stayed right on her tail. I was doing a great job not letting her gain any ground on me. We both rode hard and smooth and Lindsey took the Championship while I took a close 2nd.
Women Mini Quad Competitors at the Women's Championship
Congratulations Lindsey - Great Job! What a fun race! Congratulations to all the other mini quad girls too.

Jasmine, Kaylee, Harley, Emily, Abby & more! You all did a great job!
Saturday night was back to racing with the boys. First moto I took the holeshot but was passed in the first lap. I rode hard and didn't allow a great distance between me and the rider in front of me. I finished the first moto in 2nd place. Second moto I took the holeshot again, but was passed in the first lap. I kept riding hard and consistant and was able to pass the 1st place rider when he made a mistake in one of the corners. I took 1st overall.
I would like to take a minute to give a special recognition to a few of my mini quad rider friends. Lindsey Sandel - my idol and my good friend. She rocks both on and off the track!
Kade Wagner - My little buddy! He may ride in the Mini Quad Jr. Class, but he still whips all of us 90cc riders! He is a great friend and a totally amazing rider. Jasmine Carunchia - she is a great friend and rides hard, giving all she has to give! Kaylee Herr - a sweet friend who also rides with all she has to give. Grant Johnston - my buddy and a fantastic rider. He rides hard and is the best jumper I know. Jackson Wilcoxson - a great rider (and jumper) who improves greatly each time I race against him! Blake Sarver - A great jumper whos always on my tail. He gives me a run and makes me ride hard! Alexandra Bradley - a great friend who I enjoy hanging out with when she is at the track. Dakota Allen - he hasn't made very many races this year, but he is a good friend and I have fun hanging out with him at the track. Jessica Bryant - a great rider who is awesome in the holeshot! There are so many more riders that do a great job, but the ones above are ones I see at the track all the time and we all hang out together. I love my mini quad friends! I want to say hi to my friend Chris Stanton he doesn't race a mini quad, but we have great fun at the track!
I had so much fun this weekend. My family camped next to Kade Wagner and his family. The mini quad riders all hung out together and we had a lot of fun. Going to the track isn't just about racing, it's about having fun with all the people you meet there! I always have fun at the track.
Congratulations to Steve and Kelly Read. The riders were fortunate enough to attend their wedding ceremony at the track on Saturday. Kelly looked beautiful in her strapless dress! I am very happy for both you and Steve! I wish you the best!
Last, but not least, I would like to give a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to my little brother Adam. His riding was beyond amazing this weekend. I have never seen him ride so hard, so fast and with so much heart. It all paid off for him Saturday night when he took 1st overal. Adam, I am so proud of you. You were amazing!
Next weekend I look forward to racing at Fulton Co. MX. That is my favorite track! Come check it out!

Championship Rescheduled - Posted September 9, 2007
This weekend I raced at Hangtime MX Park in Akron, Indiana. During practice on Friday night I lost my rear brakes and wasn't able to race with them. Despite the loss, I still managed to pull off a 2nd place behind my pal Grant Johnston. Jake Klingaman was also there and he gave me a great run. He finished in 3rd. Great job Jake! My friend Alexandra Bradley finished in 4th.
Saturday morning my dad, along with Ken Wagner and Kevin Wagner, solved my brake issue and got my quad back in perfect running condition. I decided to run the Saturday morning Grand Prix to make sure my brakes were working properly. I didn't want to take the chance of them going out again during the Women's Championship that evening. The Grand Prix took a lot of stamina to run, but I finished in 1st place.
As the day went on, it started to rain. We were all hoping that it would clear up in time for the "Big Race," but unfortunately it didn't. The evening race, along with the Women's Championship, was cancelled. I was sad, but the Women's championship will be held next weekend at Trojan Raceway. I look forward to racing it!

State Race Weekend - Updated September 5, 2007

Haley and her really good pal Kade. Haley has great respect for kade. She admires him considerably.
This weekend I raced The Sunday State Race in Wabash, Indiana. It was the last State Race of the season. The first moto was a a bad one for me. My poor choice of lines got me caught up in a nasty rut. It was in the first lap when everyone was still close together. It took so much time to get out, that I was only able to finish in 5th place. I ended up with a 4th place overall. Well, everyone has a bad race every once in awhile, this one was mine. I must say, I was totally amazed at my little buddy Kade Wagner. The track we were riding had a huge stepdown.
Kade was flying off of that jump and landing at the very bottom. If I didn't know better, I would have sworn he was wearing wings. During our first moto, he did take a nasty wipe-out on that jump. He got right back up and kept on going.

Kade, you are amazing! I am glad you were OK! I enjoyed hanging out with my friends this weekend. We had so much fun playing in the pit area. I just love being at the races!
Next weekend I look forward to racing the Women's Championship at Hangtime in Akron, Indiana. I have some great competition and look forward to the challenge! Girls Rule!

Week Off due to Weather Conditions - Updated August 26, 2007
Hi everyone! I started 5th grade this past Wednesday, but got an early vacation day on Friday. The weather ended up knocking out the power at my school, so they cancelled it! I stayed home and played with my friend Alyssa. I snuggled with my kitty too! I am looking forward to racing that track because I have never been there before. I know my friends Kade, Jacob and Jasmine will be there, and I look forward to seeing them! Hopefully the rain will finally pass and the track will be dry.
I was going to show up at Trojan for a full day of racing this weekend, but the rain had caused a few cancellations. So, I am taking this weekend off. Next weekend I will be racing the Final State Race at Wabash Cannonball in Wabash, Indiana.
The following weekend is the Women's Championship at Hangtime MX Park. I am very excited about that race. Girls come from all over to compete! If you are a girl rider, come on out and show your stuff! They will be giving out big trophys and great prizes too!

State Race Weekend - Updated August 21, 2007
This weekend was the 2nd (of 3) State Races. It was held at Hangtime MX in Akron, Indiana. I headed up for the Saturday afternoon race so that I could get some practice in before the "big race." Saturday night there were a total of 12 mini quads! What a great turnout! First moto I took the holeshot and was passed on the first lap. That left me and my pal Lindsey Sandel battling for the 2nd place position. I held her off for 3 laps, but she passed me on a jump and took 2nd. The 2nd moto I took the holeshot again. I was passed again in the first lap, but ended up taking 2nd overall.
I was looking forward to another friendly battle with Lindsey, but her quad had some problems and she wasn't able to race to her potential. The mini quad turnout was great. There were kids racing at all levels and there were several battles going on throughout the race. What a fun evening of racing!
Sunday morning started out cool and gloomy. The State Race had brought in all kinds of riders. The gates were full and the pit areas were busy with people prepping their machines for this important race. By the time my first moto came along, it had been pouring down rain. The track was a muddy mess! The hard clay had turned into a slick mud soup! I took the holeshot, but the mud slowed me down. I was passed in the first lap, but took a solid 2nd overall. The whole round of 2nd motos were cancelled due to the rain. There was a mixture of relief and disappointment in the riders as they packed up to go home. The 2nd state race was over.
I would like to give a special congratulations to a few riders: My brother Adam for doing well fighting his first mud race. My friend Jacob White for taking 2nd place in the 65cc class. My friend Kade Wagner for always taking first in the Mini Quad Jr class (awesome job Kade!) and my cousin Logan Dubbs for taking 1st in the 85cc class!
I'm starting 5th grade on Wednesday, August 22nd. I will be moving up to the intermediate school (5th & 6th grade) and look forward to seeing my old friends and meeting some new ones!
Next weekend I will be at Trojan Raceway. I don't know which days I will be racing, but I will be there!

D&D Beat the Sundown Series - Round 3 - Updated August 13, 2007
Wow, I had so much fun this past week! My friend Lindsey Sandel spent the whole week at my house. We had a lot of fun together! We shopped, rented movies, rode the Southshore train to the Field Museum in Chicago, went to a Waterpark and more. We ended the week back at the racetrack.
Friday night we headed to D&D and set up camp for the Saturday & Sunday races. It was a very HOT weekend, and was also the second set of races in the "Beat The Sundown Series". My good friend Tyler Vore, and his family, also came up to camp and race. His mom and my mom have been best friends since they were my age! Tyler is 11 and races in the 65 class, the 85 class and the pitbike class. Tyler normally races hairscrambles, but will race motocross from time to time. I really like when he shows up to race motocross. We have a lot of fun hanging out together. He raced great this weekend! Great job Tyler!
Saturday morning I raced against my friends Jasmine Carunchia, Kaylee Herr, Jessica Bryant and Jacob Clingaman. I took the holeshot both motos and held my place for an overall 1st. My friend Bobby Elkins stopped in to ride with me in the Pitbike class. He also met up with his friends Keith Cromwell and Scott Moake. They rode in the pitbike class with Bobby and me. All three of them rode along side of me and allowed me to finish in front of them. It really made me feel special. Thanks guys! I had so much fun!
Saturday evening Jasmine, Kaylee and I raced against a boy named Cody Goodwin. It was a fun race and I took a first overall. Sunday Kaylee and I raced against Lindsey and her cousin James. It was quite an exciting race. I took the holeshot both motos, but Lindsey passed me with her "smooth moves" through the whoops section of the track. I stayed close on her tail but wasn't able to pass her back. Not only was I fighting for first, but was fighting to keep 2nd with James on my tail. We all held our positions with Lindsey taking 1st overall and me with a 2nd. What a great race!
I also made a new friend this weekend. His name is Jacob White. He races in the 65cc class and is a great rider. He doesn't race the Read's tracks as much as I do, but I do hope to see him again! Great job racing this weekend Jacob!
I will be at Hangtime for the State Championship race next Sunday. I am not sure if I will be showing up on Saturday or not. We will see! (If I get my way, I'll be there!)

Another Hangtime MX Park Weekend - Updated August 5, 2007
Friday afternoon I headed up to Hangtime for a weekend of racing. My friend (and old neighbor) Nathan Babcock and his family followed us there. Nathan has a pitbike and wanted to try racing it. So, I brought up my pitbike too and raced with him in the pitbike class. Friday night in the mini quad class there wasn't much of a turnout. It was just me and my pal Jasmine Carunchia. We both used Friday as practice for the Saturday races. I took first and she took 2nd.
Saturday morning Jessica Bryant joined Jazzy and I in the mini quad class and Kade Wagner in the Jr. Mini Quad class. I took 1st in my class and Kade took 1st in his. Saturday night my "peep" Lindsey Sandel showed up to race with Jasmine, Jessica and I. Kade had Emily and Abby Bowyer show up to race with him in his class. Again, Kade and I took 1st. Poor Lindsey had mechanical issues again and wasn't able to finish her motos.

After the races, my friend Lindsey came home with me. I look forward to a full week of Hanging out with my favorite "Peep." We live a few hours away from each other, so we don't get to hang out anywhere but the track. We have a lot planned and hope to have a lot of fun!
My brother Adam has really came along in his racing. His Saturday Evening race rocked! Boy did he ride! Great Job Adam!
I will be at D&D next weekend, but I don't expect a great mini quad turnout. A lot of my mini quad friends will be going to the Loretta Lynn's ATVA race in Tennessee. I want to say "Good Luck" to my friends Kade Wagner, Grant Johnston and Dakota Allen who will be there. Kade will be racing in the 50cc class, Dakota in the 70cc class and Grant Johnston in the 90cc class. I wish you guys the best! Have fun, ride fast and be safe! I know what all 3 of you are capable of, so go out there and give it your all! Kick some mini quad butt!
